Workforce - Digital Literacy - Manufacturing - Vehicle Assistance - Rise and Ride

How can it help?

The Workforce Initiative Program (WIP) is designed to provide job training services and employment assistance to individuals from Lackawanna County ages 18 years or older living at or below 200 percent poverty.

This program provides resume building, interview prep, communication and job skills training as well as job search assistance and referrals for successful job placement. Referrals to other training programs and resources are available to support the individual’s needs, goals and help alleviate barriers to employment.

Case Managers will meet with clients in person. Eligibility is determined by the Workforce Initiative team.

WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR THE PROGRAM?

  • Applicant must be

    • 18 Years of Age or Older

    • Unemployed or Under-employe
